Eliot's space

I found my way here almost by accident. How sad is that? I am writing. In fact I spent the day doing just that. Extended periods seem rare these days though. I find the requisite two or three hours hard to come by. At best I can find half an hour during the evening. The pace changes dramatically when I am actively posting. A number of stories clamour in my head, but I have dedicated my writing to one, For Your Eyes Only. I want to take it about three more chapters before I finish it. At that point I will begin posting. I notice that I devote considerably more time to writing during that phase. Each chapter gets attention before it is sent on. This is my third year since I posted my first story. The writing used to be enough for me. Now it seems part of my inspiration comes from the process of sharing. I don't think that I am mobbed by readers, but the small number who respond to my writing go a long way toward gratifying me.
